At first, Glass Blower: Boy appears to be a carefully observed print of a child blowing a bubble. Then you realise the bubble is real. Individually hand blown in glass, it projects through the surface of the frame, turning a simple image into something you experience as much as you look at.
The idea is beautifully simple. By adding just one three-dimensional element, Scott blurs the line between print and sculpture, creating a work that catches people off guard and almost always prompts a second look.
Each example features an individually hand-blown glass bubble, so every work has its own unique character.
