About Itinerants 3
Itinerants 3 reflects my ongoing interest in the human condition and the experience of displacement. It was prompted by the growing number of people forced to leave their homes by conflict, persecution and hardship, a reality that continues to shape our world.
The title reflects lives lived in transit, where movement is not a choice but a necessity. The clustered figures, carried together in a handcart, speak of vulnerability, uncertainty and endurance.
Itinerants 3 is also a reminder that humanitarian crises do not end when they disappear from the headlines. Behind the headlines are individuals carrying loss, resilience and hope. The work invites us to remember those whose lives remain defined by displacement and to reflect on the humanity of their journeys.
